Summer Care and Enrichment
The Summer Care and Enrichment Program at Bethesda is offered to provide childcare for our community’s working parents during the summer months, as well as enrichment activities which will provide fun, socialization, and learning experiences. Children are in a safe, wholesome Christian setting conveniently located in Hot Springs, under the care of qualified childcare workers.
Bethesda’s Summer Care and Enrichment Program is a state-licensed program through the Department of Social Services and consists of indoor and outdoor activities, including creative play, games, reading and number activities, as well as regular field trips and community activities. For the little ones it will include nap time or a quiet time in the afternoon. A newsletter and schedule of upcoming activities will be sent home for parents weekly.
Requirements:
Children must be three years old, and toilet trained before they may attend. Parents will need to complete an enrollment form, pay the required materials fee, and furnish a Birth Certificate and proof of up-to-date immunizations. Supplies to be furnished by the family include, but are not limited to, a sunhat, water bottle, sunscreen, and a change of clothes and shoes.
Lunch and Snacks:
Students must bring lunches from home. You may send lunch box items that need to be refrigerated or heated, unless otherwise specified. Lunches should be healthy and exclude sodas and other high-sugar items. Suggested lunch guidelines are stated in the ELC Handbook.
In addition, please provide your child with 2 healthy snacks per day. An additional fee may be added to your charges if we consistently have to provide snacks for your child. For special occasions and birthdays, students are welcome to bring in treats to share equally with their classmates.
Activities:
Students enrolled in our Summer Care and Enrichment Program will be given the opportunity to participate in several programs which are sponsored either by the City of Hot Springs or local businesses. For example, in the past we have provided:

Bill Pay or Autopay are provided for parents’ online payment convenience through Brightwheel, our billing software. Instruction is provided for quick and easy payments. Alternatively, cash or checks are accepted offline. See the contract included in your packet for more billing information.
